I traveled to Baker for their
World Championship Long
Range Match where I placed
second in the Women’s. After
that was the fall shoot on the
Big Hill in Baker where I didn’t
place but I cleaned ‘Walter the
Standing Bear’ an 8ft tall bear
target at 550 yards and that was

an all-time accomplishment in
and of itself. Baker has a beautiful range and the ones who run
it are absolutely wonderful to
be around. If you ever get the
opportunity to go hang out and
throw lead with them, I highly
encourage you to do so. My last
shoots of the year were the Mini
Quigley .22 Ri昀氀e Long Range

could I possibly write about
that anyone would want to
read? I’m not even sure if I’m
a writer worth reading at this
point, but then I thought that
perhaps the story itself would
be enough. A story about a girl
who quieted a mountain of selfdoubt and excuses for a chance
to step into a predominately
male sport just because she felt
a pulling in her heart to do so.
Maybe that could be something
worth reading. A story about a
soft step into a deep pool and
being met by some of the most
incredible people imaginable.
If I’ve learned anything of real
importance so far is that the
shooting community that I’ve
been privilege to is one of the
most supportive, helpful and
fun communities that I’ve ever
been a part of. The fall shoot I
went to in Baker I went by myself which was very intimidating
and a little scary. But I was met
