2024 was my first Desert International Iron Man match. At the very
first shooters meeting, we were told
that two of the competitors had had
their rifles stolen out of their truck
in a motel parking lot. The police
had been notified and took reports
and reviewed security footage of
the parking lot and attempted to
track down the criminals. However,
to this day, those rifles have never
been recovered.
