Registration Information:
Registration conducted Monday -- Friday, 9am-8pm at the match headquarters.
Cost of registering is $50.00.
Registration will include assignment to a shooting group.
YOU MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE YOU SHOOT ON THE QUIGLEY RANGE FOR PRACTICE.
Match Information:
Shooters will compete as either iron sight or scope class.
8 shots taken at each of 6 metal targets. 48 shots for score.
4 targets will be shot on Saturday, and the 2 remaining targets will be shot on Sunday.
Targets range from 350 to 805 yards.
All shooting is from sitting cross-sticks, except off-hand at 350-yard target. No backrests unless physically
required by the shooter to be able to participate in the match.
Sighting in and practice is permitted from 9am to 8pm Monday -- Friday of match week.
A first-time shooters clinic will be held at 6pm Wednesday-Thursday-Friday evenings – meet at registration.
Shooter’s meeting Saturday morning at 8:30am – Match to start after shooters meeting.
Sunday shoot will start at 9am.
Subject to weather -- sighting in may be allowed from 6:30am-7:30am on match mornings.
No sighter shots during the match.
Scorekeepers only call hits and misses.
Only one spotter/coach per shooter is allowed.
The target area is off limits always!
Rifle and Ammo Information:
Any traditional single-shot or lever action (must be single loaded) rifle, .375 caliber or larger.
No hooked butt plates or palm rests.
Same rifle & barrel must be shot at all targets.
Any metallic sight allowed (separate scope class available).
Cast bullets only - gas checks okay.
NO COATED or JACKETED BULLETS
Any safe powder charge (black, black substitute, smokeless or duplex).
No over-powder wads of any kind allowed with double-based smokeless powder.
Trapdoor loads cannot exceed published Level 1 load data.
Black powder loads are strongly recommended for all antique rifles.
Standard gun safety procedures dictate that antique rifles are inspected by a knowledgeable person to
ensure their reliable and safe operation.
Rifle Donations:
Shiloh Rifle Manufacturing Co. - $2000.00 gift certificate.
C Sharps - a rifle to be awarded to a Junior Shooter.
Italian Firearms Group-Justin Dodd gift certificate, good for any of their products.
Forsyth Rifle & Pistol Club a .22 Henry rifle to a Junior Shooter.
A pellet rifle to a Small Fry Shooter.
You must be present at the drawing to win.
AWARDS
Quigley Match Champion all iron sight shooters compete for this award.
International Champion will be all international shooters (no scope).
Top Scoped Rifle (period scopes only) compete in their own category. (3 places)
Iron sight shooters will sign up for only one category in their age group.
Men (17-61) 7 places
Senior Men (62-71) 7 places
White Buffalo (72+) 7 places
Ladies (17-61): 4 places ** Granny Cora (62-71) 2 places
Great Granny Cora (72+) 2 places
Juniors (13-16): 4 places
Small Fry (12 & under) 3 places
1st Time Quigley Shooter – 2 places
** Crazy Cora Award will go to the top woman shooter in the Ladies category (ages 17-61)
