ELIGIBILITY: Open registration, to be the Wisconsin state champion you must be a resident of Wisconsin. To be the match winner your residency
does not matter. The match directors challenge all Wisconsin residents to ensure that the state champion and match winner are one in the same.
RULES: 2014 NRA rulebook for black powder target rifle will apply with the bench rest exception (defined below). Equipment or procedures not
covered by the rule book are prohibited.
This is an any position match with the bench rest* as a position. Bench shooters will use bench cross sticks or wrist rest. Our intent is to
keep shooters in the game as long as possible. The butt of the rifle shall be supported by the shooter only in all positions. The butt of the
rifle will not be grounded to the bench or the ground through a hand(s). It must be held unsupported by the shooter. Use of a wrist rest
requires the non-trigger hand to be between the forearm and the wrist rest.
*Shooters will provide and manage their own portable bench rest. There are some benches on the range they are heavy and not at all
shooting locations. Additionally, there is no way to know how many people are shooting from benches hence the reason a shooter needs
to provide their own bench.
THIS IS A BLACK POWDER MATCH , BLACK POWDER SUBSTITUES AND DUPLEX LOADS ARE NOT ALLOWED !
CLASSIFICATION: There are no classifications this is a head-to-head competition. Sighting systems shall meet NRA requirements with iron and
scope sights shooting head-to-head.
MATCH SCHEDULE:
Match#1--- Up to 4 sighters and then 10 record shots @ 500 yrds--- Saturday 25 minutes relay
Match#2--- Up to 4 sighters and then 10 record shots @ 500 yrds ---Saturday 25 minutes relay
Match#3--- Up to 4 sighters and then 10 record shots @ 500 yrds ---Saturday 25 minutes relay
Match#4--- Up to 4 sighters and then 10 record shots @ 600 yrds ---Sunday 25 minutes relay
Match#5--- Up to 4 sighters and then 10 record shots @ 600 yrds.--- Sunday 25 minutes relay
Match#6--- Up to 4 sighters and then 10 record shots @ 600 yrds --- Sunday 25 minutes relay
Match#8---aggregate of matches #1 thru #6
**500 yard matches to be shot on a MR-65 Target. and 600 yard matches to be shot on a MR-1 Target.
PIT DUTY: All competitors are required to perform pit duty.
DAILY MATCH SCHEDULE:
• 7:00-7:30 Saturday only check in/registration at the statistics office.
• 7:30 role call and safety meeting at 300-yard line
• 8:00 first shot down range.
• Shooters meeting 30 minutes following cease fire of last relay. Saturday door prizes, Sunday awards
ENTRY LIMIT: This event will be limited to the first 80 entries.
SQUADDING: This event will consist of 3 relays with 3-person squads (shooter, spotter/coach, pit) each relay will be 25 minutes long called as a 3minute prep, 25 minutes for 4 sighting shots and 10 shots for record. Rifleman award goes to high competitor that shoots the match without a coach or
wind caller.
SHOOTING POINTS: All shooting points can be driven to, no carts are needed.
RIFLES AND EQUIPMENT: All rifles, ammunition, sights and cross sticks must conform to current NRA BPTR target rifle rules. NO EXCEPTIONS!
OPEN BOLT INDICATORS ARE MANDATORY!
ACCOMODATIONS: There is a full hook-up campground located at the range. Nonelectric camping is free with electric is $10 a night
