Action shooters. Roy very much
enjoyed this new work as wood
was alive under his hand, as was
metal all those years. From CalGraf catalog standards (many
of them God-inspired) to many
custom pieces, his products were
sold around the world. But he
really loved adding cabinetry
to the mix... we did many. Also,
sign production, the work of
son Matthew with a wide format printer and his ingenuity,
Cal-Graf served the community
for 25 years, the last 10 being
on McLeod Street, the “old post
office,” now Sky Federal.
relationship with the Lord right
up to last Friday when he finally convinced Him to take him
home. I am told that the Lord
caused a great transformation
in Roy; I didn’t know him in the
earlier years here but he began
pursuing Him early on and had
the Lord always on his mind and
heart. He was anxious to be with
Him and now, he is!
Forced to give up this creative
work by back pain, arthritis-haunted injuries, a weakened
heart, Cal-Graf Design was sold
in 2014. During these last 20
years he’s been able to enjoy trips
across the country to visit family, and visiting grandkids who
share his love of firearms and
shooting. Fishing in the Gulf has
been a highlight and, alas, trying
to keep a boat operational (both
Bob Green and Ivan Stoltzfus got
a taste of that). The boat won.
Thankfully, both Tage and Nonna Marie have enjoyed visiting,
finding what life held here.
But Roy’s desire was to always
be better. He was baptized at a
church picnic, August 25, 1996
in the Yellowstone River by pastor Greg Hutchins, along with
Cherrlynn, Dave and Carolyn
Osen, and Lance Lovell, and
has continued growing in his
