CPA Stories: Paul Shuttleworth
The genesis of CPA Stories can ultimately be traced back to
Paul Shuttleworth. Without Paul’s dedication to our sport, I
believe we would not be where we are today.
Paul built high-quality rifles, parts, and equipment that have become
readily accessible to all of us. Without his contributions, we would be far
more reliant on cottage craftsmen, which would hinder our ability to
preserve and continue the traditions of our sport.
Paul was not only a brilliant craftsman; he was also a kind and generous
man who was always willing to help others. We should also never forget
that he was a “good shot,” as demonstrated by his impressive match
performances well into his 90th year.
His craftsmanship, generosity, and dedication left a lasting mark on our
sport, and the influence of his work continues to be felt today.
